Kandi Burruss’ Fiance Ashley “A.J.” Jewel Killed

It is sad to report that Ashley “A.J.” Jewel was killed in altercation at Body Tap Club in Atlanta, Georgia. A.J. is the fiancé of Kandi Burruss the lead singer of R&B singing group X-Scape and newest cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta. This was confirmed by Burruss’ publicist Lisa Nelson to WSBTV.com reporter Brian Johnson.
A.J. appeared regularly on the hit show Real Housewives of Atlanta. Since the taping of the show Kandi had called off the wedding, but remained the legal guardian for A.J.’s twin 12 year-old daughters. It has been reported that the Atlanta housewife is “stunned” and speechless; which is totally understandable. The family is asking for privacy at this very difficult time.
The Atlanta police have reported via Channel 2 Action News that Jewel received a severe head injury. “It appears he was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and he received a severe blow to the head,” said Atlanta Police Lt. Keith Meadows. Jewel was taken to Piedmont Hospital where he later died.
Kandi expresses her feeling via Twitter in the early morning hour:
“im just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk, i dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone.”
“I could never n a million years imagine this happening. please pray for AJ’s children. that’s who im the most concerned 4.”
