YOUR CITY CIN :: Kroger has some unwanted shoppers

Post by Mila J
This is so not a good look for Kroger. The nation’s largest grocery chain had to close down a store near the University of Cincinnati’s campus due to repeated complaints and evidence of mice in the food aisles. The Cincinnati Health Department required the store close to deal with its rodent problem. After being closed Monday and early Tuesday, Kroger reopened and will not be fined as long as the store continues to prove its working with exterminators to keep the problem contained.
It’s funny because this is actually one of the Kroger I dread going to. The cashiers are rude, they text while you’re waiting to be checked out and it always seem like only one register is ever open—even in the middle of the day! It seems like every Kroger near a university (have you been to the one near OSU at High and King?) isn’t up to par like they should be.
So what, college students spend the absolute minimum on food, that doesn’t mean we want mice or their parting gifts coming home with us. I also understand that every place that has large amounts of food could have a problem like this but it’s not a good look when your customers aren’t surprised you had the problem in the first place simply because of how the store is kept.
