Have you seen this video? Apparently Whitehall police attempted to subdue an elderly woman by slamming her on the ground..
From listening to the tape, I gathered that the woman was weilding a knife (and her cane) and the police were called in to break up whatever issue she had.. when she didn’t drop the knife.. the officer slammed her on the CONCRETE.. You can see blood splattered on the ground where the officer obviously used a ridiculous amount of force to subdue this woman..
Seriously, she is on a cane.. and from what the video shows, the knife is at her side the entire time.. was she REALLY a threat?? The problem though isn’t what she did, but how the officer handled it..
This is a damn shame.. how is WPD handling this issue?!

“It’s not pretty, but when we’re looking at what could ultimately happen in that situation, the age can’t really be a big factor. It’s a public relations nightmare in some ways, but the officer did what she had to do,” Dr. Richard Weinblatt said.
GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!!! She did what she had to do?!?! Boy stop.. Any sane person could have probably slapped the knife out of her hand.. How do you protect and serve by busting an old woman’s head wide open!?

If it was so easy just to “slap the knife” right out of her hands, then why didn’t any of the “bystanders” do so? The old lady was LEFT in the car by her daughter, and she had the knife and CUT HERSELF OUT of the seatbelt. I blame the daughter for leaving her mother outside. If you can hear over the idiot who is recording this (who never appeared on the news because he probably has 34 warrants out for his arrest), you can hear the officer asking for the lady to put the knife down. What if they would’ve done what the officers are actually advised to do, which is to taser the individual? What would’ve happened then?
