Also be on the look out for the interview on FLYPAPER TV with Mr. Murray in the near future!!!

NVus :: Mr. Keith Murray how are you doing sir? How’s your summer going?
KEITH MURRAY :: The summer is goin well im traveling and creating some good networks.

NV :: What’s life like right now for Keith Murray?
KM :: I’m at the cross roads of writing a new solo album and finding a major label.while i reherse and record a new live album with my band in the middel of touring and just livin my life day to day.

NV :: Ok so, you will be in the city of columbus perfoming live, are you familiar with any artist from columbus?
KM :: I’m not familiar with any artists from Columbus at this time, But I do remember the rapper that made the song ‘Me and My Music’.

NV :: Any surprises that we should expect or should I ask what should the people except from you?
KM :: Well people should expext a live show alot of energy and crowd surfing and hard cord lyrical spittin’ and a good time.

NV :: I’m a huge fan, that song ‘the most beautifulest thing in this world’ track was so real to me, what is the most beautifulest thing in your world as of right now?
KM :: The most beautifullist thing in the world right now is still being able to do my music and bring it to those that love it, want and need it.

NV :: How do you feel about the state of hip hop?
KM :: I feel the state of hiphop is in need of its history being reviewed alot of people that say they love Hip-Hop or is apart of the culture dont know the culture or its leading farthers and dont appreciate what this thing really is and down play the importance of the whole story of Hip-Hop and the people thats in it.

Rock & Roll and R&B and make music and do shows untill they die. The Hip-Hop culture don’t respect its older artist work and thats not Hip-Hop it’s childish and shouldn’t be goin down like that. We should respect and support our elders.

NV :: Do you listen to south music like anyone who you really like from the south? Maybe even do a track with?
KM :: yeah i like the south hiphop Lil Jon, OutKast, Goodie Mob, T.I., Young Jeezy, Lil’ Wayne, UGK Young Buck. I dont look at them as down south rappers i just look at them as rappers thats from the south im from the south also, South Carolina.

NV :: Speaking of tracks is there a new keith murray album in the works?
KM :: Yes the new Keith Murray album is in the making. But first I’m comin out with a album with Canibus in a few months.

NV :: Will there ever be another def squad album? El nino was bananas!
KM :: Yes the Def Squad is puttin together the music for a new album now. Also I dont know when its comin out. For those who don’t know about our first project, go listen to that Def Squad album El Nino.

NV :: Being an artist that has been in the game how do you feel about a lot of the older artist making comebacks?
KM :: What I feel about alot of older rappers comin back is I think they should. Good music is good music regardless of whos makin’ it.

NV :: If you had to pick your top 5 artists who would they be and why?
KM :: I can’t give u my top 5. It’s to many artist I like and they all influence me. I’ll tell you this there ain’t been no new rapper in the last 5 years.

NV :: I appreciate the time hopefully we can get the on video interview when you come down, flypaper online magzine want to thank your for your time…much love any shout outs?
KM :: ok thank u and yes well do the video interview when I get there on Saturday.
