Man when keeping it hood goes wrong. I don’t know how many times I gotta say this but make sure you check who you are sending messages.
Drug dealer texts prosecutor by mistake, police say
Thursday, April 16, 2009 11:24 AMSUTTON, W.Va. — A woman who thought she was offering a friend drugs mistakenly sent the text message to a prosecutor.
State Police arrested 23-year-old Anna Green and 24-year-old Michael Cowger yesterday after Webster County Prosecutor Dwayne Vandevender arranged a meeting to buy six hydrocodone pills for $8 apiece.
Vandevender said he recognized the message “Are you looking” as a phrase drug dealers use.
Cpl. A. J. Shingler said today that he asked Green if she knew who she had messaged, and she replied, “I thought I did.”
Vandevender said Green had misdialed the last digit when entering the friend’s phone number into her address book.
The two Braxton County residents were in the Central Regional Jail, charged with intent to distribute and conspiracy. They have not secured attorneys.
