Born in the CO and raised in the ATL, Columbus native and celebrity ICON Bow Wow has always repped for the Capital city throughout his career but this weekend he may have to rep more than ever. Seems as if the little pup, who got his moniker from Rap Mogul Snoop Dogg, has gotten himself into a small beef, on the court that is. If you follow Bow Wow’s career you know he has a love for basketball. From playing a young basketball player in movies to joining other all star players in celebrity basketball games, Bow Wow has proven he’s got skills in the game. Now the young star may have bitten more than he can chew. Back during the So So Def Summerfest 08 Celebrity basketball game Bow Wow had an “And 1” moment with another hip hop superstar Nelly. Nelly, now famous for his relationship with R&B singer Ashante and his new role as Sean John underwear model, got a dose of lil B Weezy when he got tripped skipped and dipped on by the lil dude in the celebrity game. Since then the beef has been on!

BOW WOW vs NELLY PART ONE

After the game Bow Wow hit the internet in a blaze talking about how he “shook” Nelly and apparently he isn’t taking it to well. Nelly hit the net himself via viral video and gave his interpretation of the game. Nelly’s version of the story is that no one showed the whole game in which he scored over 30 on the youngster. The only thing they show is Bow Wow’s weak block and weak moves. To prove his point The Derrty Ent front man issued out a challenge to Bow Wow to play him in a winner takes all 7 game tournament that will span 7 cities. All for a whopping $100,000 that will be donated to the respective charities of the winner.

Now it’s GAME ON and the drama starts where else but right here in Columbus Ohio! That’s right Nelly and Bow Wow have put it all on the line for basketball bragging rights and I guess Bow Weezy must have won the coin toss because the tournament is starting here in Columbus and guess who’s got floor seats? Your favorite online magazine will be ring side, sorry, court side that is for the Derrty Ent vs. So So Def celebrity basketball game. Jermaine Dupri and Murphy Lee will also be on the court. We will be giving the play by play report and covering the event from the floor. Not only will The FlyPaper be at the event. We will be all around the city getting the scoop on who Columbus thinks will win. Will the city support Bow Weezy or will the ladies go for nasty Nelly.
