What’s going on my fellow Fly Paper readers!  You know that we bring you the hottest interviews with your favorite celebrities and we have an exclusive interview with the HOT BOY himself, B.G.  I got a chance to chop it up with him over the phone and talk about his new album, new single, new label and maybe even a Hot Boys reunion. 

LK: Let me begin by saying thank you for the opportunity for letting me speak with you.

B.G.: Thank you for having me sweetheart.

LK: It’s been a minute since you have been on the scene.  Can you let our readers know what’s been going on with you?

B.G.: Oh man!  Right now, I’m working on my new album 2 Hood 2 be Hollywood and pushin out my new single “Keep it 100″ featuring my man Magnolia Chop.

LK:  That sounds hot!  What can we expect to hear on this album.

B.G.: This album is straight realness, ya feel me?  Cause all I know is how to keep it real and be me.

LK:  Who are you working with on this album?

B.G.: My man T.I. is executive producer on the album.  I got songs with Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Plies, Maino and C-Murder.  I also got my man Mannie Fresh, Cool & Dre and Scott Storch who produced some tracks on the album.

LK:  That’s what’s up!  Now when can we expect for the album to drop?

B.G.: The album will be coming out around June or July.  I don’t have an exact date but it will be this summer.

LK: Who are you signed with?

B.G.: I’m signed with Chopper City Records which is on Atlantic Records and distributed thru Koch.  My man T.I. brought me to the table at Atlantic Records and put together a sweet, sweet, sweet deal.

LK: That’s what’s up!  Since you are working with your former members of Cash Money on this album, does this mean that there will be a Hot Boys reunion?

B.G.: Most definitely!  It’s gonna be all the original members and we gonna be pushin that out real soon.  My man Lil Wayne had a deal to do a soundtrack so he came to me and Juvenile about the idea for doing the Hot Boys reunion as a soundtrack for an up and coming movie.

LK:  I cannot wait for that!  Do you still talk to Baby?

B.G.: Me and Baby have been talking for the past five months about working together.  We just decided to let bygones be bygones.  We were young then and now we are showing that we can stand on our own two feet.  We were hot boys then and we still hot boys now. 

LK:  That is good to hear.  What makes you different from any other rap artist?

B.G.:  I keep it real and I do me.  I give ya’ll the streets.  I’m out here right now pumpin gas while I’m talking to you (laughs).  I mean, I can’t sell out like that.  I ain’t crossover.  I don’t know the meaning of the word crossover.  What works for the next mutha f***a ain’t gonna work for me.  Imma do me.  Everybody trying to make a club banga or a radio hit.  When I did the song “Bling, Bling,” I was not trying to make that a radio hit, it just happened.  I let the game crossover to me.

LK: Now that we are in a recession, how is it effecting you?

B.G.: Imma a real n***a!  I got child support and I got to live on a budget.  I know now how to maintain my needs and put aside my wants.

LK: Are there any other projects that you are working on besides the new album?

B.G.:  I got some unreleased tracks with my man Soulja Slim and you know I’m doin hella mix tapes.  I’m on my way to the office now to put together the video for my new single “Keep it 100.”  I’m also working on doing a promo tour for my new album.

LK: Well we cannot wait to hear what you got for the streets!  We really cannot wait for you to come and shut it down in Columbus because we got nothing but love for you here.

B.G: I appreciate it!  Keep showing me the love and Imma keep giving you the realness!
