ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Challenged by 30-mph winds and 14-foot waves, the U.S. Coast Guard continued Sunday to look for former Lions defensive end Corey Smith and three other boaters who were reported missing 50 miles west of Clearwater.

Smith, Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper and two other men identified as Nick Schuyler and Will Bleakley were reported missing at 1:30 a.m. Sunday after they and the 21-foot boat they were believed to have boarded failed to report to Seminole Boat Ramp in Clearwater Pass. It was from Seminole Boat Ramp that the four departed about 6:30 a.m. Saturday for a day of fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.
