T-PAIN RECEIVED DEATH THREATS
T-Pain has cancelled an upcoming performance in South Africa after the hip-hop artist received credible threats of kidnapping and death. While there is very little information available at this time, sources say that the threats came in the form of phone calls and email. Authorities are investigating the matter. There has been no comment from T-Pain.

COMMON GOES IN ON LIL’ WAYNE?
Rumor has it that rapper Common went at Lil Wayne last weekend during a performance at the LA Hip-Hop 101 Festival. Word is that the rapper put on one heck of a show that included him break dancing to old-school music and taking some shots at Weezy during a freestyle. Sources say that Common spit the line “I ain’t Wayne but I have a lollipop, I ain’t Wayne but I’d f**k a cop.” There’s no video available that supports this story…not yet anyway. I certainly hope Common didn’t stoop to this low or spit such a yuck line.

TMZ DEFENDS RIHANNA PHOTO
The popular gossip site, tmz, is under major scrutiny after releasing the picture of a battered and badly bruised Rihanna. The site (which allegedly put out over $60,000 for the photo) has fired back, defending their decision to release the image. TMZ chief, Harvey Levin had this to say:
“It is a photograph of Rihanna that was taken shortly after the alleged beating a couple of weeks ago. We, obviously, believed at the time, convincingly, that it was Rihanna and put it up on the site… I’m not saying anything bad at all about the LAPD. I mean, what they needed to do, they felt, was conduct an internal affairs investigation because they felt there was a leak. In so doing … they did authenticate the picture.”
It’s a sad day when someone will sell a photo of teenage victim of domestic violence…famous or not.
