For their second collaboration with DC, Lemar and Dauley got inspired by regatta sailboats and tricked out two colorways of the Admiral high-top. The Brooklyn crew paid attention to the materials used on sails and set out to create a shoe that would marry the swagger of a city kid placed in a beach setting.

Design cues like a metal plate embossed with braille, and reflective tape were incorporated to represent “touch and sight, both of which are necessary human senses when in the water.” Right. Whether you’re psyched on the back story or not, breaking these out during spring time would be a good look. Check for the sneakers to drop at DC Life accounts on February 1.
