FLY ART :: ANDY WARHOL’S STILL-LIFE POLAROIDS

POST by NVus
One of the dopest artists and inspirations of the 20th century maybe be Andy Warhol. I lived in Pittsburgh for a while and if you are ever there stop by his muesem in the strip district it is a sight to see. In these loose Polaroid photo’s snapped by the late great Andy you can see his eye for placement and lighting. These are pretty fly even though they are taken with a polaroid they say so much about this profound artist.

What can we really say about one of the world’s greatest influences other than via the Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York, they are displaying a selection of 70 Still-Life Polaroids by Andy Warhol. Depicting a set of assorted objects taken by Warhol between 1977 and 1983, the exhibition captures a mass variety of subjects such as ballet shoes, eggs, knives, guns, perfume bottles and other commercial products as his ironic soup can.
