Rapper Common is doing his part to promote conscious spending during the recession. In a recent interview with hiphopdx, Common announced that his upcoming album Universal Mind Control will be sold for under $1. UMC will be available for .99 on Zune.net on the day that the album is released.

PRINCE CRASHES Q-TIP’S SHOW
One of the greatest-of-all-time showed up and showed out during a Q-Tip concert in Vegas. Prince joined Q-Tip on stage during his performance of “Vivrant Thing.” Prince played Tip’s guitar, which was a little taller than him, then made a swift exit stage left. I’m sure concert-goers felt they got more than their monies worth!!
