Within a days notice, and with the help of The FLYPAPER, the whole city was buzzing with the news that not only was 1 mega star coming to rock the vote in Columbus, but 5 megastars showed up in the capital city just in time to help motivate the communities to vote.
MARY J BLIGE, KEVIN LYLES, DIDDY, JAY-Z, and a surprise guest BEYONCE were in the capital city for the Obama for Change Rally held at the Mayme Park next to the Kings Arts Complex near downtown Columbus. With no major promotion, thousands of Columbus Residents, young and old, came out to see their favorite artists and hear some encouraging words about the current election. It was great to see the energy and love the crowd was showing. It was a vibe that is seldom seen in the hood and it looks like this may just be the start to some real change.
