Pittsburgh Steelers great and former Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Lynn Swann addresses a crowd of about 150 people at Perry Square in Erie on Oct. 8 while campaigning for republican presidential candidate John McCain.
At a rally in West Perry Square before about 150 people, Ridge was joined at the gazebo by Lynn Swann, the former Pittsburgh Steelers football star and 2006 GOP gubernatorial candidate; U.S. Rep. Phil English, of Erie, R-3rd Dist.; and retired U.S. Navy Capt. Jerry Coffee, who first met McCain as a fellow prisoner of war in Hanoi, in what was then North Vietnam.
