I have been trying to hold my words about this but it’s getting bananas around the city. We had a great time with our anniversary and all over the weekend but there has been alot of violence around these parts. Columbus’ death rate has surpassed all other cities in Ohio with a sudden increase in shootings over the past few days. 10 days to be exact. 10 deaths in 10 days! Just today 2 individuals including a toddler have been shot. We cannot let these times get the best of us people. Death is not the answer and we must do our best to strengthen our communities and not tear them apart with fear and violence. I didn’t think about life as much as I do now that I have 2 children. I love my son and daughter and believe that they are blessed to live in a country where they have the opportunity to be whatever they want to be. We have moved foward because of the sacrifices that have been made by those before us. We cannot go backwards.
