TI shares his View… “Walk with God, not guns”

TI

Post by T Cole contact: flytcole@flypaperblog.com

His most recent album,  Papertrail,  is #1 on the charts right now. His single “Whatever you like” is in heavy rotation on the stations, but as previously reported by Flypaper all of TI’s recent news hasn’t been good. Today on the talkshow The View, TI took the opportunity to answer some real questioins to a broader mainstream audience about his ordeal. He talked about how background came into play in his poor decision-making, and how that doesn’t excuse his behavior.

He stated that “In this line of work there are far more people that would rather kill you than congratulate you.” With that in mind, and the lost of his assistant/best friend to gun violence, he did what he thought was necessary at the time to protect himself and his family. He now regrets that decision proclaiming that he has learned to “walk with God and not guns.” When asked about his possible one year sentence, the rapper said “I’m concerned but not scared, I’m definitely not thrilled about it.” He recognizes that his act of poor judgement has consequences and “honestly would like to just get it over with and move on with his life.” We feel  you, Tip. Job well done.
