All the memories, legends, championships, rivalaries, records at YANKEE stadium in the BRONX, NEW YORK will never be forgotten. Too bad they couldn’t make it to the POST SEASON…tha would have put the cherry on top…but neither or nor there The Yankees leave behnd a legacy and hopefully they will continue it inside their new stadium.
Having been built in 1923, the term “old” seems quite appropriate when referring to the ballpark. The very first Yankees game played in the old Yankee Stadium was against the Boston Red Sox on April 18, 1923, and the Yankees prevailed by a score of 4-1. Fittingly, the last game in the old Yankee Stadium ended with another victory as the Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles by a margin of 7-3 to end the 2008 regular season.
