THE OLYMPIC GAMES TURN TRAGIC

Last week FlyPaper brought you the latest on the shenanigans surrounding the Olympic Games. Driving restrictions, poor air conditions, and a cease fire of the killing of dogs for human consumption are just a few pieces of the craziness going on in Beijing. In just one day, things have turned tragic.
Two Americans were stabbed by a Chinese attacker today, causing the death of one of the victims. Their tour guide was also injured. The attacker then committed suicide by leaping from a Beijing building. The victims were attending the games, and are related to the US men’s indoor volleyball team coach.
In addition to this tragedy, Russian athletes have just learned that their country has entered into a state of war with the Republic of Georgia.
