The Earl Simmons Crime Spree

It’s no wonder DMX wants to be someone else. The rapper has added identity theft to his long list of recent charges in Maricopa County, Arizona. These charges stem from him falsely identifying himself at a Scottsdale hospital while seeking treatment for pneumonia, back in April. He was picked up at a Phoenix mall on Saturday(1). This is the 37- year-old’s sixth arrest in three months.
His other charges include an 11-count animal cruelty and drug possesion charge stemming from a May raid on his home (2). He was arrested at an airport returning from Florida on July 2 (3) for not showing up to court for those charges. While in Florida he was taken into custody twice (4, 5), for once for an invalid driver’s license, the other time for attempting to purchase drugs from an undercover. And his bad luck streak began May 8th when he was nabbed for speeding (6).
Wow!!! I would say I was “Troy Jones” too, or anybody else if I was Earl Simmons. It’s sad that it hasn’t occured to him, that while his rap career his dwindled to nonexistence, he is still recognizeable. Yo D, once you have a reality show you don’t get to be someone else!!
