There has been a buzz over the past week or so about a possible engagement between 38 yr. old R&B songstress Mariah Carey and former Nickelodeon star, turned rapper, turned actor/ comedian Nick Cannon, who is 27. Well, today E! News reports that the couple tied the knot yesterday in a small private ceremony on an undisclosed island.  The limited guest list was composed of a few close friends, including Da Brat, according to sources. E! suspects that this stunt may be a ploy by Carey’s publicist to steal the limelight away from Madonna’s album release… Hmmmmm…. there’s a thought.
