Lady Kootore
04/14/08

Hello boys and girls!!! It’s your girl Lady Kootore comin at you with the exclusive STRAIGHT NO CHASER! Fly Paper was in the building this past Saturday at Karma to see the #1 boy band Day 26. For it to have been raining, it was a huge crowd. It was a line all the way down the street! Ladies were standing in line with their heels, and umbrellas. I AIN’T MAD AT YOU LADIES! Anyway. I sat in the car for a little bit, but I got a chance to see the guys go into the club from the side. THAT’S WHEN I KNEW IT WAS ABOUT TO GO DOWN!

I got a chance to get close to the stage and let me just say that these guys did the damn thing! They looked good, they sounded good, and they danced good too. Q and Robert were doing a lot girating and I’m not gonna front, it was turning me on! Will looked so sexy and seductive while singing, I just melted. Brian looked serious while singing but he was still sexy! Mike was too cute on stage and he was lovin the females! He just couldn’t stay out of the crowd. They only sang four songs; “Exclusive,” “Since you been gone,” “Are we in this together,” and the #1 hit “Got me going.” Everyone in the club was singing along, and the ladies just kept pulling on them and snapping pictures. I can tell that Diddy has whipped these guys into shape. These guys sound was PHENOMENAL! Your girl Lady Kootore was on her grind and got a chance to get an exclusive interview with the guys. Ladies, not only are they fine but they are the coolest and sweetest men you will ever meet. Here is a little bit of the interview:

Kootore: First of all let me congratulate you all on the success of your new album and your hit single.

Day 26: Thank you

Kootore: I also want to say that you all did the damn thing on stage. I wish ya’ll would have sang my favorite song “This is what it feels like.”

Will: Yeah, I wish we would have sang that song too. That is my favorite song on the album.

Ladies, they started singing the song and I just melted!

Kootore: The songs on your album are about relationships and heartache, who comes to agreement on who sings what on what song.

Brian: Diddy chose the songs for us to sing especially after he knew how are voices sounded together. He picked the songs that best fit us.

Q: The songs that we sing are about experiences that we have gone thru in past relationships.

Kootore: So are u all single?

Brian: Yeah! Aint’t none of us in a relationship!

Kootore: But Brian, I thought you were married.

Brian: No!

Kootore: Now let’s get to you Q. The lady’s and I at Fly Paper heard that you all were on a satilite radio show and they asked who was the freakiest and you said that you like to toss the salad.

Day 26: WOW! (Laughter)

Q: Let me clear that up. Don’t get it twisted, I will go down on a special lady but I will not stick my tounge all the way in that area. That is something a grown man would do. I am not a grown man yet. I’m only 19. (Laughing)

Kootore: Cause when I heard that, I was gonna have to get at you as soon as ya’ll got into town.

Q: Wow (Laughs)

Kootore: Now I was reading on a blog site that you all made a comment on a radio show that the Queen of hip hop and R&B Mary J Blige couldn’t sing. Explain that.

Q: That is not true! Let me explain. We sang a song inside the studio and they didn’t feel that we put enough emotion into it. We said that there are a lot of artists that put a lot of emotion and there are some that don’t need to put emotion and who don’t need to do all of those riffs in there songs like Mary J Blige. Reason being, her emotion just comes naturally in her songs. We respect the QUEEN! We would never disrespect her.

Kootore: That’s what’s up. Now who all did you listen to while growing up?

Q: We listened to Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and the list goes on and on.

Kootore: A lot of people compare you too 112, Jodeci and New Edition. How do you feel about that?

Brian: We really feel honored when we hear people say that. We don’t feel that we do but it is an honor.

Kootore: When ya’ll signed the contract, what was the first thing ya’ll did with your money?

Q: I put some in the bank and invested the rest.

Brian: Put some in the bank and cleaned up my credit. (Laughing).

Robert: I bought my mom a house and a car and I did some things for myself.

Mike: I put mine in the bank

Will: I put mine in the bank too.

Kootore: What were you all doing before you all made the band?

Robert: I was in a group in my hometown with Michael Bivins called the Biv 10 All Stars.

Q: I was in school and I was working with a producer making songs. Brian was signed to Matthew Knowles label and had been on tour and around Beyonce and all of them. Will use to write songs for artists like Avant and was in a group called Quiet Storm. Mike use to work for BMW.

Kootore: Well, I wanna thank ya’ll for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk to me. I wish ya’ll much success and I hope ya’ll come back to Columbus real soon.

Day 26: Thank you. Let’s make it happen!

There you have it ladies and gentlemen! Day 26 interview! It is not a game people! Fly Paper is that deal. Once again I want thank Day 26 for doing this interview. I really have much love and respect for these guys! Keep doin what ya’ll do cause ya’ll GOT ME GOING!
It’s only one Queen! After me there will be none….Lady Kootore
