BAD DAY FOR DIDDY: Diddy denies new 2pac allegations and fights a $130 mil lawsuit

Looks like everybodies favorite Mover and Shaker P. Diddy had a case of the Mondays.

In yesterday’s edition of the LA Times, Pulitzer Prize winning reporter Chuck Phillips uses FBI testimony and anonymous firsthand accounts, to allege that Shakur was right in accusing Sean “Diddy” Combs and Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace of orchestrating a near fatal attack on him outside of New York’s Quad Recording Studio.
Aside from Combs, Czar Entertainment founder Jimmy Rosemond is the most notable figure named in the article. Phillips cites FBI records from 2002, which quote a “confidential informant” as telling authorities that Rosemond and James Sabatino were involved in the attack

Rap mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has denied yesterday’s LA Times report that he had advance knowledge of a 1994 ambush on rival Tupac Shakur that left Tupac with five bullet wounds. Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond, the music manager that the Times named as the mastermind of the attack, also denied the charges. The Times is standing by its story so far.

The statements:

Diddy-

“This story is beyond ridiculous and is completely false. Neither Biggie nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during, or after it happened. It is a complete lie to suggest that there was any involvement by Biggie or myself. I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story.”

Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond, manager for GAME and GUCCI MAN, had this to say.

Jimmy says, “In the past 14 years, I have not even been questioned by law enforcement with regard to the assault of Tupac Shakur, let alone brought up on charges. Chuck Phillips, the writer who in the past has falsely claimed that [Biggie] was in Las Vegas when Tupac was murdered and that Biggie supplied the gun that killed Tupac — only to be proven wrong, as Biggie was in New Jersey recuperating from a car accident. [The Times] has reached a new low by employing fourth-hand information from desperate jailhouse informants along with ancient FBI reports to create this fabrication. I simply ask for all rap fans and fans of Tupac to analyze this fiction for what it is, along with Phillips’ motives behind it. I am baffled as to why the Times would print this on its Web site when a simple and fair investigation would reveal that the allegations are false. I am currently consulting with my attorneys about my legal rights regarding this libelous piece of garbage.”

To add insult to injury Diddy was also hit with a lawsuit today for the charges stemming from a nightclub incident with him and former Bad Boy artist Shyne. MTV News reportsthat Diddy recently wrapped up his deposition for the civil suit that is still pending against him and Shyne for the ‘99 Club New York shooting. According to Shyne’s legal counsel, Oscar Michelen, Diddy completed his deposition on Wednesday, which now puts the wheels in motion for a trial date to be set, possibly as soon as early 2009.

Shyne

If Diddy’s testimony in the deposition results in his being included in the civil lawsuit, he could potentially be on the hook for the entire payout, should Rueben win the case.

Talk about bad Karma, I wonder how Shyne would feel if he found out that Puff got hit with that $130 million dollar law suit. He’d prolly say “Man, I don’t care just get me out of jail”.
