Hello boys and girls! I am back at it once again giving you scoop in entertainment! Now I was listening to some Reggae music, feelin the vibe and I happened to run across some info about Bob Marley’s Widow Rita Marley wanting to turn her 2004 autobiography No Woman No Cry: My Life with Bob Marley into a movie. SWEET! Here is the catcher, guess who she wants to portray her in the movie? Eight time Grammy award winner Lauryn Hill. Rita has had her sights on casting the former front woman of the Fugees and also her daughter-in-law in the chronicle of her tumultuous 15-year marriage to the icon musician. Rita married Bob on February 10th, 1966, and then became a singer in his backing vocals group, the I Threes.

She explains, “Lauryn would be ideal (to play me). She sees my life as her life.” I know you all are wondering, how is that so? Well, Lauryn Hill is allegedly married to Bob Marley’s fourth child Rohan Marley. Even though the marriage has not been confirmed, they have four children together: Zion David-Hill Marley, daughter Selah Marley, son Joshua Marley, and son John Marley. They have been a couple since 1996 and as of October, 2007 they are expecting their fifth child. Rohan Marley has two other children from a previous marriage just like his father did when he married Rita.

Rita and Lauryn both have gone through a long time of heartache and pain with both Marley men. Bob Marley has a total of 13 children: two of which Rita adopted when they got married, three born to Rita: Cedella, Ziggy and Stephen Marley and the remaining eight with separate women. TALK ABOUT GET AROUND! Rita has two children from other relationships, Sharon and Stephanie. The as-yet-untitled project is slated to begin filming early next year. Rita now resides in Konkonduru, near Aburi, Ghana. She appears in the song “Mary Jane Shoes” on Fergie’s multi-platinum 2006 album The Dutchess. As far as Lauryn Hill, she is residing in a hotel suite in Florida along with a studio. She came out of seclusion to record a verse for a song called “Music” on Joss Stone’s third album Introducing Joss Stone.

I feel that this will be a good role for Lauryn to play. We haven’t really seen her out on the scene since the BET Awards a few years ago looking like a broke down Ike Turner. SORRY, I HAD TO GO IN! I think that people will really see what went on behind the scenes with the legendary Reggae artists and his family. We will also see where his son Rohan gets it from because he put Lauryn through a lot. THAT’S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH CARRIBEAN MEN! BELIEVE ME I KNOW! My question, who is going to play Bob Marley? Makes you think, don’t it?
