Janet Jackson Jacks The #1 Spot

Janet bangs the charts with the release of her 10th album “Discipline“. She debuted at number one for the first time in three albums (selling 181,000 copies per Nielson SoundScan). Her previous two albums, 2004’s Damita Jo (debuted with 381,000 sold)and 2006’s 20 Y.O.(debuted with 297,000), both missed the top spot breaking a string of number one albums dating back to 1986’s Control. Her 1st single Feedback is a hot track that is in heavy rotation, followed by Rock with U featuring Ne-Yo which is making its way up the singles chart. Janet has 5 Grammy’s and an Oscar nomination on her resume. She most recently scored an NAACP Image Award for her role in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married?”
