Other than Reality TV, sex tapes and arrest records, the newest celebrity trend is fragrance selling.  Along with Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Gwen Stefani, Diddy, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez, and now Erykah Badu, Halle Berry has decided to make her mark in the fragrance world. Halle’s scent which will be produced by Coty, will hit markets worldwide in Spring 2009 (yes we have to wait that long).   Coty Beauty Us senior VP of Global Marketing stated “Halle is an iconic actress and symbolizes beauty to many generations.”  The 41-year-old actress who is now 8 months pregnant,  will be on all the the advertising campaigns (which is probably the reason for the delay of the release).  Other celebrities who have dipped into the fragrance market include: Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, Celine Dion, Kate Moss,  and Victoria Beckham.

Halle’s perfume will hit stores globally in spring 2009. She likely was paid $3-5 million up front, with a royalty of about 5 percent, according to China Daily.
