P. Diddy Saves Face in Court

Post by T Cole
Yesterday a California judge denied a man’s request for Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ full financial records. Gerard Rechnitzer is the complaintant in an assault suit against the rapper/actor/producer stemming from an incident at a post-Oscar party last year at the Roosevelt Hotel. Rechnitzer claims that the information is needed to determine the proper amount of punitive damages he will be rewarded if he wins. (yeah, right!) Superior Court Judge Robert Hess responded to the request, “If you were to get a finding of fraud, oppression or malice, some or all of this information you would be entitled to,” Hess said. “I’m not persuaded at this point to give it to you today. We have privacy issues here that are very important.” It’s not looking good for Rechnitzer’s case, after reviewing the hotel’s surveillance video, LAPD didn’t even file charges at the time of the initial complaint. Good for Diddy, who has to be more than annoyed at this silliness.
