This past Wednesday the CW’s America’s Next Top Model debuted its 10th season opposite Fox’s American Idol (which was viewed by some 28.67 million fans across the globe).  Unfortunately, the show’s premier only reached an audience of about 3.8 million, a 26% decrease from last cycle’s opening night. Season 10 is set to draw some interest, though,  with a new judge, Paulina Porizkova taking over for Twiggy.  Dominique(pictured above), is a contestant from right here in Columbus. 

While the season’s premier may not have been all it’s producers had hoped for, Top Model has been and will likely, continue to be a force in the reality TV world.  As American Idol interest fades (and it usually does) and the show returns to its normal format (Tuesday performances, Wednesday results) on March 11th, viewers will gravitate to the appeal of supermodel hopefuls competing in challenges and house drama.  The girls are competing for the prizes of a contract with world renowned Elite Model Management, a spread in Seventeen Magazine, and a $100, 000 contract with Covergirl Cosmetics. To see Dominique and the other models do their thing tune in to America’s Next Top Model on the CW, Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
