The King literally held court tonight in the French Quarter winning his second all-star game M.V.P in the last 3 years with a; 27 pt, 8reb, 9ast, 2stl, 2blk performance…And it’s very scary, because homie is ony 23 years old!

The East jumped out to a comfortable lead early and held it until the 4th quarter.  There were plenty of acrabatic displays and facials being handed out as there have been in all-star games’ past. But watching the game, you knew that it would come down to the final minutes to decide the outcome, and that it did.

After last years thrashing of the East on behalf of the West, you knew that the East looked to save face this year and come out victorious in this one.  The West closed a 11 piont deficate going into the closing minutes of the 4th quarter and tied the game at 112 a piece and within seconds taking the lead 116-114.

Ray Allen, who was a replacement in this game for the injured Caron Butler, stepped up and ran off three straight 3 pointers carrying the East in the final minutes. It looked as if Allen was going to snatch the M.V.P honor from James, that is until Mr. Dookie himself drove the lane and posterized Derk, as seen in the above picture, that play alone locked it for LeBron.

Ray Allen finished the game with 28 points in an excellent effort by the Eastern Conference who defeated the West 134-128, avenging last years spanking.

“We didn’t want to come out here and get beat up on again,” James said.

Sophmore Sensation Brandon Roy was the was the top performer for the West finishing with 18pts, 9reb, 5ast, 1blk, 1stl. The hometown man Chris Paul lead all players with 14 assists.
