Michael Bay to Bring ’80s Nightmares Back

Freddy Kruger

Is Hollywood all tapped out of fresh ideas?  Super director Michael Bay has teamed up with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (of Platinum Dunes) to relaunch the 1984 classic Nightmare on Elm St.  While Fuller and Form had success remaking Texas Chainsaw Massacre, critics and the general public are reluctant to show enthusiasm for this upcoming endeavor. Bay’s 2007 launch of Transformers the movie was wildly successful (I’m a hardcore fan).   Platinum Dunes is also working on the relaunch of Friday the 13th.  There is no word on whether or not these projects will be total remakes, but it is known that it will not include any of the original cast (not even Robert Englund aka “Freddy”).   I am a fan of doing what works but in this case, can we get some new material people??

But I will Say Nightmare on Elm Street was the Blueprint for a lot of Horror Movies I’m just glad no really tried to Bite and do the whole Kill you in your dreams theme…I mean Fredddy has been Idolized if that make sense….even made a Fashion Statement with These Freddy SB Dunks
