Back in November we (Autounleashed) wrote about the Maybach 62 Landaulet, a study created by Maybach and introduced at the Dubai show. And it seems that the public’s reaction was very good, because today Mercedes Benz Cars marketing head Klaus Maier announced that the Landaulet will go into production, in an interview for the Stuttgarter Zeitung newspaper.

He also said that the currently produced car was already sold and that the Landaulet will expand the Maybach product line and draw a lot of attention to the brand. We don’t know yet how many cars Mercedes plans to build, but we know the price and it ain’t pretty: around $1.2 million (800,000 Euros).
