NaS not getting dropped from Def Jam

A representative for Island Def Jam has come forward to dispel growing reports that the label is planning to drop Nas, due to the title of his upcoming controversial CD, Nigger. Reports surfaced this week stating that retailers were leery of carrying the CD. According to reports, if Nas refused to change the title, Island Def Jam, which is a unit of Universal Music Group, was prepared to drop him from the label. “That is absolutely ridiculous and untrue,” an Island Def Jam spokesperson told AllHipHop.com
