Ruby Dee gets an Oscar nod for her role in American Gangster

Congrats to Ruby Dee! The actress is up for her first Academy Award for her role as Mama Lucas in the film American Gangster. Ruby Dee competing in the category Best Actress In A Supporting Role. The film is also up for an Art Direction award. The Academy Awards air on February 24th.
